Who are we? Dr. Jeffrey P. Koep Often referred to as "Dr. Jeff", Dr. Koep is a native Albertan. He was born and raised in Lethbridge, Alberta where he graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a degree in Psychology. From there, he moved to Edmonton and finally realized that he wanted to become a Chiropractor. He moved on to Toronto in 1995 and completed his Doctor of Chiropractic in 1999. Dr. Jeff then moved back to Alberta, settling in Calgary. He married the love of his life, Gayle, shortly after returning from Toronto. Nine months later Jacob Andrew Koep was born! Dr. Jeff opened his first solo office in July of 2000, South Trail Chiropractic. His second son was born in October of 2001, Nicolas (Cole) Robert Koep. During this time, Dr. Jeff was involved in various associations and societies and attended many seminars which provided an outlet for his passion for learning. He completed a 12 month program in Pediatric Chiropractic culminating in his certification as a pediatric Chiropractor given by the International Chiropractors Pediatric Association (ICPA). Dr. Jeff"s passions are his faith, his incredible family, and Chiropractic. Golf is a distant fourth, but some may try to argue with that! Gayle Koep Chiropractic Assistant, Chartered Accountant Gayle has worked in the office since it's inception in 2000. She is an integral part of the team. She was a full time assistant to Dr. Jeff for nearly one year before she stepped down as a full time assistant to become a full time MOM! She still fills in for Diederika and Stephanie when needed and helps out with all of the special patient events that we hold. She also is very busy making sure the books balance as she is also a chartered accountant. Gayle's first loves are her children and darling husband. She spends her spare time scrapbooking, taking photographs, and running after Jacob and Cole! David Custer Massage Therapist David is a young man who loves to help people. In his spare time he enjoys the outdoors, especially mountain biking, white water rafting, hiking/backpacking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and kayaking. David also has a strong interest in travelling and photography. One of his long time hobbies (of about ten years), is painting.... mainly abstract and surreal. Some of his work may soon be coming to a gallery near you! Diederika Schwartz Chiropractic Assistant Diederika was born in Holland and immigrated to Calgary as a small baby. She grew up in Calgary and was raised believing in natural remedies and the body's ability to heal itself. Diederika joined our practice in the summer of 2001, and enjoys the opportunity to be a part of the lives and wellness of our valued practice members. Married with three grown children, her home, family, friends, the great outdoors, and travel are her great loves.
